I get the sense of feeling that these soldiers think they can forgive themselves by shifting the responsibility over to the I.D.F. shoulders.
As a former Staff-Sergeant in a fighting platoon, after spending my entire service in the so called "occupied territory", not ever have I witnessed a violation of human rights.
I believe, that a true change can be achieved only by building its way up throughout the younger generation and the youth of both sides- teaching more tolerance and respect towards other people In the Israeli education system, and altering the education system in the territories and its core values, meaning, they cannot refer to the Israeli-Arab children as "kids under occupation" (where, actually, their rights are secured by all means), and diminishing slogans such as "a good Jew is a dead Jew".

Thank you, Adam, for lending your perspective to us. I did not see the movie you spoke about but I do recognize the need for the truth to be told once and for all (from both sides). There needs to be a film that address both sides of the debate in a fair and equal way. I am humbled and pleased to see that an Israeli soldier such as yourself has the state of mind to also recognize this. Thank you.
